How to Activate Developer Mode with Cheatstick

Endnight Games built an integrated developer command terminal directly into Sons of the Forest. Accessing this system does not require third-party injectors, modified DLL files, or launch flags.

To unlock the developer terminal, load into any active singleplayer game or multiplayer lobby hosted on your PC. While standing in the game world, type the secret keyword cheatstick on your physical keyboard. Note that no input box or cursor prompt will appear while typing—simply type the ten letters in sequence. Immediately after typing the final letter 'k', press the F1 function key located at the top of your keyboard.

A translucent command console overlay will slide down in the upper-left corner of your display screen. You can type commands, review engine confirmations, and press Enter to execute cheats instantly. To close the command console and resume active combat, press F1 again.

God Mode, Stat Buffs & Cave Lighting Codes

Navigating high-aggression cannibal camps and mutated demon caves can quickly drain your resources. Developer commands grant complete survival security.

1. Total Invulnerability & Stat Maxing

Entering godmode on grants full invulnerability. Your survivor receives zero damage from heavy club strikes, demon whips, hypothermia, or falling from mountain cliffs. Your stamina bar remains locked at maximum, and hunger and thirst gauges never decline. If you prefer to play with active damage but need a quick recovery after an ambush, typing buffstats instantly tops off your health, stamina, fullness, and hydration meters to 100%.

2. Subterranean Cave Illumination (cavelight)

The caves and bunkers of Site 2 are pitch black, requiring constant flashlight battery changes and flare usage. Typing cavelight on into the F1 console activates an ambient environmental light field that fully brightens underground caverns, enabling clear visibility of blind mutants and hidden rope attachments without holding a torch.

Infinite Logs (loghack) & Instant Blueprint Construction

Felling hundreds of spruce trees and hauling logs two by two is time-consuming. Developer commands transform Sons of the Forest into a limitless architectural sandbox.

Typing loghack on activates infinite log carrying. Pick up a single wooden log from the forest floor, and as you place it down to construct cabins, defensive walls, or treehouses, a duplicate log remains permanently in your hands. You can lay down hundreds of logs continuously without returning to the forest. When paired with instantbookbuild on, placing any blueprint from your survival guide completes the entire structure instantly.

Essential Weapon & Tool Item ID Reference Grid

To spawn weapons, tools, and ammunition into your tactical inventory, use the syntax: additem [ID] [Quantity]. Below is a verified table of essential item IDs.

Weather Control, Seasons & Monster Clearing

When massive cannibal raiding parties encircle your compound, typing killradius 50 into the F1 console sends an instant elimination wave that purges all hostile threats within a 50-meter radius.

You can also manipulate island ecology. If harsh winter freezing prevents lake water collection, enter season summer to transition the entire biome into sunny weather. To freeze the sun overhead and prevent night attacks, type locktime toggle.
